Question:? My 12 yr old minischnauzer is really pretty active, walking a mile a day with me. Food for him has created a problem; the Vet recommends kibble but that is full of grain which I don’t consider healthy. Bud really likes some people food, which I prepare that is fully balanced with protein, fresh veggies and a little rice/potatoes as carbs. He is quite active despite his age but does love his naps as our weather now is pushing 95 degrees and no one wants to be out. Am I feeding him the wrong diet? Or would the foods you list be better for him? He has had surgery several yrs ago for kidney stones. but seems quite healthy now.
Except that my husband has just died, and Bud is lost too.
