Puppy Breeds

dogs puppies beaglePuppies come in a variety of wonderful shapes and sizes.

The breed you choose to pick your puppy from will dictate a lot of things about them.

From their intelligence to their exhuberance, the original purpose of your pup’s category will still be influencing his personality today.

Puppy types and appearance differ depending upon the puppy’s background.

And perhaps most importantly, his breed will have a dramatic impact on his health.

Before you collect your new puppy, make sure you find out as much as you can about his breed.

Hi there, I am looking at getting a Boston Terrier soon and due to me not being very experienced with dogs I am trying to get as much information as I can to make sure I do the right things to my dog is well mannered and well behaved. However that said I have noticed that information on training your Boston is not easy information to come by. Would they technically fall under the category of the Terriers? May seem like a stupid question I know.

Hi Jacinta, Before you buy a Boston Terrier I recommend that you read up all about Brachycephaly. This article is a good place to start:

Hi Gini, Cross bred dogs like your lovely puppy don’t technically fall under a category, as this is a way of describing pedigree dogs used by the Kennel Club. However, a Bullmastiff and a Great Dane are both members of the Working Group, so this is the one most relevant to him. Best wishes, Lucy.
