The origin of the modern alphabet is really quite fascinating!
For example, did you know one of the earliest versions didn’t even have a letter “W?”
The first modern version of “W” was actually the rune “wynn.” But before “wynn” could become “W,” it was first renamed “uu,” which, when pronounced, sounded more like “v.”
